It’s the story of how two young boys from Queens, New York, went on to become the world’s most successful music duo. Starting from their humble beginnings as ’50s rock’n’roll duo Tom & Jerry, The Simon & Garfunkel Story takes you through all the songs and stories that shaped Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel – the dramatic split, their individual solo careers and ending with a stunning recreation of the legendary 1981 Central Park reunion concert.

After a series of acclaimed performances in London’s West End and an extensive international tour of more than 50 countries, The Simon & Garfunkel Story continues to captivate audiences worldwide — including Garfunkel himself, who praised the concert he attended in New York City last year as “a great show”.

In August, the theatrical concert returns to Australia for a national tour, including Norwood Town Hall, Adelaide, August 20, and QPAC’s Concert Hall on September 7.

The Simon & Garfunkel Story features American performer Israel Bloodgood as Paul Simon and Luke Hogan from County Cork in Ireland as Art Garfunkel.  The duo are accompanied by Nick Martin on bass, Harrison White on keyboards/guitar and Hary Denton on guitars.

Creative director Dean Elliott says he’s thrilled to be bringing The Simon & Garfunkel Story back to Australia in 2025, where the show first toured in 2017.

“Since then, it has grown into a truly global success, having now been performed in over 50 countries and in some of the world’s most prestigious venues, including The London Palladium, the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood (home of the Oscars) and many more,” says Elliot.

“We’re especially excited to return to some of our favourite Australian venues and to introduce audiences to the phenomenal talents of Israel Bloodgood and Luke Hogan, who have been wowing crowds across the UK, including a sell-out performance earlier this year at The London Palladium.

“The music of Simon & Garfunkel continues to transcend generations, and we can’t wait to share this special experience once again with fans down under.”

Hailing from rural Oregon, Israel Bloodgood has worked as an actor, dancer, musician, songwriter and teacher. After growing up in the theatre and earning his bachelor’s degree in Oregon, Israel has performed with The Seattle Shakespeare Co, Bag & Baggage Production and the La Grande Shakespeare Co.

As a teacher, Israel has worked with students from the age of five to university level, teaching music, theatre and dance. After moving to the UK to study, he now lives in Bristol with his wife and son as works fulltime as an actor.

Hailing from County Cork, Luke Hogan has had roles in musical stage shows The Sound of Music, Les Miserables, Annie, The Little Mermaid and Sleeping Beauty.
