Mad March is in full swing with plenty to see and do across South Australia this long weekend. From WOMADelaide to the Riverland Food and Wine Festival, there is something for everyone.
With Fringe season in full swing, even more energy will be injected into Adelaide’s East End as East End Unleashed returns. After record attendance in 2025, Rundle Street and surrounding laneways again transform into a pedestrian-only destination, offering extended outdoor dining and live entertainment to add to the Fringe experience. East End Unleashed is on every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night until Sunday, March 22.

Australia’s most diverse festival brings a tapestry of cultures together at Botanic Park/Tainmuntilla for its 29th year over the long weekend. Across four days, more than 60 artists from almost 40 countries take to the WOMADelaide stage. Highlights include Yothu Yindi, Grace Jones, Obongjayar, Baker Boy, Marlon Williams, and Arrested Development. Festival favourites Taste the World, WoMarkets, KidZone, Planet Talks and The Sanctuary Restaurant also return.

Experience the sights and sounds of Asia and the best flavours the continent has to offer. Expect food from the best local vendors, live cultural performances, art and interactive experiences as Whitmore Square transforms into an Asian night market. There is also an expanded sensory friendly kids’ zone.

Break out the fascinators as the race that stops Adelaide returns to Morphettville Racecourse to celebrate the best in horse racing. There is something for everyone from exclusive elegant experiences to relaxed outdoor settings. Also expect live performances by DJs, acoustic artists, a roaming marching band, Brazilian dancers and more. Take in the elegance of the First Class Lounge, Champions Balcony and Winning Post Restaurant or take in the atmosphere of Club Lago, CC Giddy Up Club, Trackside Picnic Tables and the returning Kids Zone, complete with a petting zoo.

Take in the picturesque Berri Riverfront as the best wineries, distilleries and food of the region are showcased this weekend. Expect live performances and a vibrant, relaxed atmosphere as you enjoy tasting flights from local wineries and food championing local Riverland produce. Entry is ticketed and prices start at $47 or $115 for VIP.

Experience twilight polo and premium hospitality as the Barossa Polo Classic returns this long weekend. Held at the private field at Chateau Tanunda, the all-ages event blends fast-paced polo with fashion, food, wine and live music. Expect two short-form polo matches, the traditional divot stomp, fashion on the field, family-friendly activities and a lively afterparty into the evening. There are also a range of experiences on offer from the indulgent Veuve Clicqout VIP Marquee to The Stables and relaxed picnic-style general admission.
