Cancer Council’s iconic fundraising campaign brings South Australians together to raise funds for life saving cancer research. This year marks Daffodil Day’s 40th anniversary and Cancer Council is celebrating four decades of joining people in the fight against cancer. The annual Daffodil Day Dip returns, and Cancer Council SA has stalls celebrating the anniversary and selling daffodils across the state, including at its flagship site at Rundle Mall, Gawler Place.
Emergence
August 13-22
This exhibition showing at Mezzanine 55 presents six bold contemporary women artists in their first major exhibition since graduating from Adelaide Central School of Art. Amy Sibenaler, Mary Patrinos, Stephanie Eland, Angie Harrison, Andrea Sainsbury and Afroditi Kelly showcase painting, drawing and textiles revealing intellectually rigorous and emotionally resonant practices.
Mezzanine 55 Open Studios
August 15-16
This weekend Mezzanine 55 opens its collection of artist studios and exhibition spaces in a rare opportunity to get a glance at what goes on behind the scenes. Meet a mixed group of emerging and established artists working across a range of mediums including sculpture, painting, drawing and ceramics. Also see the current exhibition Emergence as well as artist chats and demonstrations by the exhibiting artists.

The Art of Pastry
August 18

In this pastry-focused class create up to eight sweet and savoury treats including choux, soufflé, lava cakes and strudel. Bluey’s Big Play The Stage Show
August 16
This adaptation of Windmill Theatre Company’s hit television show that has delighted fans across the globe returns home for an encore tour. Dad wants an afternoon time out, but Bluey and Bingo have other plans and they’re determined to get Dad off the bean bag. The Emmy award-winning show comes alive at Chaffey Theatre in Renmark this Sunday.
