JamFactory Short Course Program
Get hands on with JamFactory’s short course program in ceramics, glass, furniture and jewellery. Discover wheel throwing, glass blowing, silver jewellery and furniture making, as well as children’s workshops. Courses are available at JamFactory’s Adelaide and Barossa sites, with course lengths ranging from one day to seven weeks, and options to suit all skill levels.
Walk to Defeat MND
September 12
Walk for a cause this weekend as MND South Australia returns with its staple fundraising event and celebrates its milestone 40th year of supporting South Australians living with Motor Neurone Disease. Grab your family, friends, neighbours and even your dog and join the walk in the heart of the city. Kicking off from The Walk Village at Home Ground at the Adelaide Convention Centre, the route circles the River Torrens and ends on the Riverbank Footbridge. Tickets are $15 for children under 16 and $25 for those over 16. There will also be a merchandise stand in the Walk Village, so you can get in the spirit as you get your steps in for a good cause.

September 5-13
Roll up, roll up and don’t miss one of the state’s favourite events before it ends this weekend. Among the staples are livestock, produce, cooking and craft competitions – the popular Night Shift also returns to deliver entertainment after the sun goes down. Expect the crowd favourite fireworks displays, as well as the arrival of Hot Wheels and a jaw-dropping human cannonball performance by Guinness World Record holder David “The Bullet” Smith from the United States. This year The Show also celebrates 100 years of cookery competitions with another year of record-breaking entries.
AirTouch 500 at the Bend
September 11-13
The road to Bathurst is on and it all starts at The Bend this weekend with the first round of the Ryco Enduro Cup. See the stars of the Repco Supercars Championship in action across three action packed days. Following last year’s huge demand, Trackside Camping returns along with premium glamping tents on offer. Alongside the on-track action, expect plenty of off-track entertainment and a festival atmosphere at Shell V-Power Motorsport Park with camping, grandstand and general admission tickets starting from $39.

Patience and Penitentia
Until September 18
South Australian artist Ida Sophia’s installation Patience and Penitentia confronts silence and estrangement as corrosive cultural practices. As a part of the 2026 SALA Festival, the work focuses on the ‘silent treatment’ and turns the usually hidden form of punishment into a public display inviting conversation and seeking to break cycles. Following the artist’s 40-day durational performance, which finished at the end of August, the purpose-built installation remains on display until Friday, September 18 at Samstag Museum of Art.

Zerial
September 9-13
Experience a spectacular reimagined cabaret where artistry and adrenaline collide. Created and produced by Craig Hryhorec, Zerial comprises a cast of international and Australian performers, including South Australia’s Olivia Baker, Natalie Chudleigh and Lauren Bird. Expect a thrilling line up of aerial performers as the stage is transformed into a space where gravity doesn’t seem to exist in this fusion of circus arts, live music and dance at the Adelaide Festival Centre’s Space Theatre.
