Brighton Jetty Classic | Sunday, February 1

The Brighton Surf Life Saving Club’s largest annual fundraiser, and the state’s largest open water swimming event returns this Sunday. All ages are welcome and events range from a 400 metre swim around the Brighton Jetty to a 1500 metre open water event. This year the Foundation Float – a swim with inflatable rings around the jetty – is also being introduced to raise funds for the Channel 7 Children’s Research Foundation. The day of fundraising kicks off with breakfast and a Surf Boat Carnival and wraps up with a street festival along the Esplanade; expect food trucks, music, entertainment, market stalls and more. Entries for the Brighton Jetty Classic are open online, and late registrations are also accepted on the day.
