Adelaide Hills Garden Affair

Expect spectacular autumn displays, garden-related market stalls, food vendors and an enhanced Inspiration Hub as the award-winning Adelaide Hills Garden Affair returns bigger than ever. Keynote speaker Gardening Australia’s Sophie Thomson promises to be a highlight. The event is on at Stangate House and Gardens in Aldgate, and entry is ticketed.

Generations In Jazz

Celebrate young jazz musicians from across Australia and New Zealand as this annual music festival returns to Mount Gambier this weekend. This large scale, school based competition sees student bands perform across multiple divisions gaining valuable performance experience and feedback from leading industry professionals. The event also offers prestigious scholarships and awards to individual musicians and vocalists. Also expect world class performances, workshops and a vibrant atmosphere.

Introspections

Music, wine and gastronomy converge in a captivating evening of elegance this weekend. Introspections is an oenological concert, imagined by pianist Ida Pelliccioli. Each musical work is paired with carefully selected wine and accompanied by a refined canape from renowned Italian chef Luca Guiotto of Aromi Dining to create a thoughtful, unforgettable experience.

Moss Piglet

On at the Space Theatre, this depiction utilises puppetry, live video, and green screen to transport viewers to the world of the tiniest and most resilient. Be ready to embark on a science journey from volcanoes to moon craters, discovering the hidden wonders in a fusion of creative theatre.

Gerard McCabe 40 year exhibition

Coinciding with South Australia’s History Festival, award-winning Adelaide jeweller Gerard McCabe is hosting a month long exhibition as the family business celebrates its 40 year milestone. Journey through six generations of the McCabe family as its rich history is showcased across the month, including treasured family artefacts dating back to the 1800s. From Friday, May 1 until Sunday, May 3 also explore a curated selection of special pieces from valued customers and each piece’s story.

Zeppelin Soars Again

This weekend, the Zep Boys are on at The Festival Theatre, celebrating their 40th anniversary, performing the classic songs of Led Zeppelin. This two-hour collaboration features breathtaking vocals and dynamic rhythms of all the hard rock hits, such as Stairway to Heaven, Kashmir, Immigrant Song, Black Dog, and Whole Lotta Love. With frontman Vince Contarino and the Kashmir Orchestra, this one-night performance delivers the essence of Robert Plant’s signature vocal style.
