Enjoy a weekend of music, wine and food as Harvest Rock returns to Rymill and King Rodney parks/Murlawirrapurka and Ityamai-itpina this weekend for its third edition. New York garage rock icons The Strokes will headline Saturday night, while American rapper Jelly Roll will take to the stage on Sunday. Other highlights of the 2025 line-up include The War on Drugs, M.I.A., Vance Joy, Royel Otis, Wolfmother, Ministry of Sound Classical, Groove Armada and Cloud Control. Harvest Rock also showcases the state’s culinary scene, including local favourites Dirty Doris diner, Regent Thai, Africola Canteen, Anchovy Bandit and Gang Gang, as well as beverage producers Yangarra, Basket Range Wine, Murdoch Hill and more.
Golf balls will be soaring as the Webex Players Series makes its way to the Willunga Golf Course until Sunday. This tournament, hosted by former Test cricketer Greg Blewett, will see men and women compete together for the same coveted title. South Australian locals Lachlan Barker, Kristalle Blum, Jak Carter and Jason Norris will take to home turf as they look to take home $200,000 in prize money. In between the action, you can sample local wines and producers at the Tournament Village, where there will also be kid-friendly activities on Saturday and Sunday.
William Shakespeare’s classic tale of two star-crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet, has been reimagined as a spectacular opera. State Opera South Australia will transform Her Majesty’s Theatre until November 1 with Roméo et Juliette by 19th-century French composer Charles Gounod. This opera is directed by Rodula Gaitanou and stars Kyle Stegall and Siobhan Stagg in the leading roles of Romeo and Juliet, while Dane Lam conducts the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra. The cast also features Morgan Pearse as Mercutio, Pelham Andrews as Laurent, Tomas Dalton as Tybalt and Eugene Raggio as Count Capulet.

This Saturday is your final chance to see the Best in Show 2025: Australian Photographic Dog Prize exhibition at David Roche Gallery. This installation features 80 prints in categories such as dog portrait, dogs and companions, dogs in action and puppies. This is Australia’s only biennial art prize dedicated to domestic dogs and honours the late David Roche, known for his love of our four-legged companions. The installation is open daily until Saturday, October 25, with entry $12 for adults and $10 for concessions, while children under 12 are free.
