2025 NBL1 Central Grand Finals

Have a ball at the 2025 NBL1 Central Grand Finals, held for the first time ever at Adelaide Entertainment Centre. Taking place on August 16 at 5.30pm, spectators can watch both the women’s and men’s grand finals. Basketball SA CEO Tim Brenton says hosting South Australia’s basketball finals at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre is a landmark moment for the sport. “This event not only showcases the incredible talent within South Australian basketball but also highlights the growth of our game,” he says. “Bringing South Australia’s best female and male teams to a world-class venue reflects our commitment to elevating the basketball experience for players, coaches, and fans alike.”

Keiffee the toy koala at SLSA

Keiffee the koala is planning a night out on the town and needs help deciding what to wear. Head to the Treasures Wall in the Spence Wing of the State Library of South Australia and give Keifee a hand picking out the perfect outfit. Keiffee is a childhood toy from the 1940s, which was donated to the State Library’s Children’s Literature Research Collection. “A toy koala was given to me by my father, Keith, on his return from World War II, stationed in Darwin,” says donor Valerie. “Keiffee has been played with and loved by three generations of children in our family. Like me, my family wish for the koala to be cared for and admired by other children.”
