2025 Australian Swimming Trials

Australia’s top swimmers have converged on Adelaide for the 2025 Australian Swimming Trials. This event, which finishes tomorrow, sees elite swimmers compete for a place on Australia’s national team, the Dolphins, ahead of the World Aquatics Championships in Singapore later this year. With seven gold medallists at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Australia is home to some of the world’s best swimmers, including Ariarne Titmus, Mollie O’Callaghan, Kaylee McKeown, Cameron McEvoy and Kyle Chalmers. The 2025 Australian Swimming Trials take place at the SA Aquatic and Leisure Centre in Oaklands Park until June 14, with ticket options ranging from individual sessions to multi-day passes.

Coober Pedy Opal Festival

Make your way to the opal capital of the world from June 13 to 15 for the 2025 Coober Pedy Opal Festival. Australia holds around 95 per cent of the world’s supply of opal, with a large proportion coming from Coober Pedy’s 70 opal fields. Now in its 36th year, this festival showcases the diverse and multicultural history of Australia’s underground town, known for its unique “dugouts”. Highlights include the town oval festival hub, where there will be children’s activities, food and beverage options and craft stalls, as well as the much-anticipated street parade.
