Inside SALIFE’s February issue

Jan 29, 2026, updated Jan 29, 2026

Welcome to our Health & Wellness Issue, where we celebrate all the things that make us feel good, inside and out.

To me, wellness comes in fairly typical forms – I feel better when I move my body and eat foods that aren’t overly processed. Nothing ground-breaking.

My movement of choice includes gym sessions, beach walks, or you’ll often find me traversing Morialta.

Although recently, I had a renaissance of my younger years and took to four wheels for a spot of rollerblading.

The physical activity combined with the childhood nostalgia was perhaps a perfect combination for a wellness boost. I’d absolutely recommend rediscovering the activities that brought you joy as a 10-year-old.

Sometimes, wellness includes snacks and a bottle of red shared with friends. To help you pick your next drop for such an occasion, we welcome acclaimed wine writer Tony Love’s new column this month.

Tony will be sharing some of his top drops each month – an easy guide to trying something new.

Also inside this issue, we ask some high-performing South Australians about their health and wellness rituals. I loved the answer from Adelaide Symphony Orchestra’s concertmaster Kate Suthers.

Kate finds wellness in making little things in her day romantic – lighting candles around the house or sending unexpected little parcels to friends.

This month, we have a special piece from foodie Mandy Hall, who shares her story, in her words.

Last year was one that really brought health into focus for Mandy, who ignored all the things her body was telling her, until she could ignore no more.

Like many women out there, she was overworked; between her career, family and everything else she was juggling, there was no time to focus on herself.

But her body wasn’t going to be silenced and it eventually gave off screaming warning signs.

In her story, Mandy opens up about the ordeal in an effort to resonate with anyone else out there who might be wilfully ignoring those signs.

We also share with you the health journey of Channel Seven new presenter Rosanna Mangiarelli and go inside a beautiful Prospect villa designed by an architect for his own family.

We hope this issue brings you a little bit of inspiration to think about your own wellness – whatever form that may take.
