Emily Cartwright and Mathew Disher were married at Simon Hackett Winery in McLaren Vale after 11 years together.
After meeting at a nightclub 11 years ago, Mat proposed to Emily on the balcony of their shared Adelaide Hills home with a sign around their dog Oberyn’s neck reading: “Will you marry my dad?”
The couple said “I do” at Simon Hackett Winery in McLaren Vale, joined by the four-legged star of their engagement. They also had a focus on making the day just as enjoyable for their guests as it was for the happy couple.
“This might be the only time in our lives when we could get all of our favourite people in the same room,” Emily says. “We hold a lot of love for all the people who attended.”
