The comedian turns break-up blues into a messy, funny and unexpectedly moving blind date. ★★★

Love Hunt takes you through a break-up and is full of heartbreak, introspection… and maybe even a relapse. Charlie Mulliner’s energy is magnetic, pulling you in and making you feel part of the story: you might even end up on a makeshift Blind Date.
The comedian balances vulnerability and comedy well as she moves through a variety of characters, each with their own personality and costume, keeping it lively as she pivots between heartfelt moments and hilarious interludes. She captures the emotions of love, heartbreak and self-discovery with honesty; well-placed pauses add weight and emotion. At times, the structure feels uneven, with quick shifts between characters and scenes that interrupt the flow. Even so, a strong performance keeps the show grounded and the emotional journey engaging.
Love Hunt is dynamic, human and relatable, mixing introspection with energetic play. If the pace occasionally wobbles, Mulliner’s infectious charisma and imaginative staging bring you back in. It’s messy, funny and memorable, with moments of laughter and reflection that linger.
Charlie Mulliner – Love Hunt is playing at The Gallery at The Courtyard of Curiosities at the Migration Museum from February 19 – March 1
