Roxie Halley and Michele Owen are Big Mike and DJ JayJay, two best mates who are throwing a house party, and you’re invited. From the moment the music kicks in, Beat Boyz –Best House Party Ever sets a clear premise and consistently overdelivers. The energy is high, the chemistry is strong, and the atmosphere is closer to a feral house party than a stage show, in the best possible way.
Halley and Owen are hugely talented performers, weaving together freestyle rap, dance, games and comedy with impressive ease. Audience participation is frequent and central to the experience and the show moves at a pace that feels just right, never rushing or dragging.
Beneath the beer pong and goon bags is a story about friendship, failed relationships and self-discovery, building to a satisfying ending. Beat Boyz: Best House Party Ever isn’t the show to choose if you want to sit quietly in the dark, but if you want to dance, laugh and feel utterly immersed, this is a party that’s worth attending.
