The David Roche Gallery is celebrating its milestone 10th year of opening Fermoy House and David Roche’s fine and decorative art collection. To mark the occasion, it opens the exhibition Making old new: DRG 10th anniversary this weekend, displaying works from the gallery’s 18th to early 20th century European and British collection. Nature-based Wellbeing Sessions

May 23 & 24

Centre yourself and head to the Adelaide Botanic Garden as nature and wellbeing intersect across two different workshops this weekend. The first session encourages observation, reflection, and a deeper connection with nature and self as you record the world around you. Alternatively, discover how to craft soothing salves and oil infusions using flora gathered from the surrounding Adelaide Botanic Garden and learn gentle massage techniques.

ART

May 20-24

Actors Richard Roxburgh, Damon Herriman and Toby Schmitz star in ART at Her Majesty’s Theatre this weekend. Yasmin Reza’s show displays incisive humour with immaculate timing about friendship, ego and the impacts an opinion can make, which can make you question everything. This show explores how one small fracture can break into something a lot bigger.

May 23

On May 23, 1936, the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra gave its first concert at the Adelaide Town Hall. Join musicians in a night of celebration as they return to where it all began exactly 90 years later, reflecting on the decades past while looking to the future. Enjoy live performances and a meal paired with Hentley Farm wines in an evening of elegance and soothing symphonies.
