While I’m always so proud of all the work that goes into each and every page of this magazine, I have to admit that there’s one that I love putting together slightly more than the others – the cover.
In this issue, we’re welcomed into the stunning home of South Australian fashion label Aston Studio’s designer, Suzanne Gallard. The table setting is exquisite and I’m absolutely giving the brownie recipe a go.
We also step into a Millswood home that was once a dark bungalow, and now transformed into a spacious, light abode that pays homage to the original 1927 build. You can see the style and love poured into every room of this gorgeous family home.
This month, features editor Genevieve Meegan speaks to SA boy-turned-Hollywood actor, Anthony LaPaglia. He gives a very honest interview about his early life in SA and successful career. You can find Anthony on stage at the Festival Theatre this month, starring in Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman.

Take a wander through the gardens surrounding Corryton Park homestead, owned by the Burge family in the Barossa. When wine icon Helen Burge is in her gardens, she wonders about the history of the 1851 homestead and its surrounds. For the first time, the public can do the same in November, with the grounds on show as part of Open Gardens.
My personal favourite luxury is travel, and we venture to a couple of beautiful spots this month. Firstly, there’s the wild luxury of Monarto Safari Lodge, where content writer Jade Woollacott finds herself among beautiful hospitality – and plenty of roaming animals too. Then, senior journalist and photographer Ben Kelly has beautifully snapped Greenly Carriage on the Eyre Peninsula, where he discovers a gentler rhythm of life.
In our fashion pages, the gorgeous Akiima shows us that romance isn’t dead with striking gowns that speak to softness and intricate details.
Perhaps, the most meaningful form of luxury is the luxury of time, and Kane Pollard has interpreted that into some recipes that are worth pouring time into. Slow down in the kitchen and try Kane’s overnight sourdough focaccia, or perhaps the wonderfully-rich beef cheeks.
