SALIFE Food+Wine+Travel 2025 is set to hit shelves on Monday. Treat this book as your year-round travel companion while you explore all the wondrous things South Australia has to explore – including our team’s top picks.

When people ask about the best part of my job, the answer is easy.

It’s undoubtedly discovery. Uncovering a new cafe close to home, venturing out a little further afield to find a restaurant I’d happily travel across the city for. And, most importantly, hitting the road or boarding a little plane, venturing out to South Australia’s wonderful regions to bask in the unique identity of each one.

The common thread that runs through every moment of discovery is the pride exhibited by all the people putting this state on display through their food, beverages and experiences.

It’s a feeling that all of us here at SALIFE Magazine share with every hospitality and travel vendor in the state.

We have immense pride in everything this state has to offer, from our stretches of coast with welcoming seaside towns dotted alongside, to the gems you’ll find in the outback, and every rolling vine-covered hillside in between.

Each year, we relish in sending out our writers to scour the state for all the latest happenings, as well as reliving old favourites.

They’ve returned with their lists, compiled into a go-to guide to traversing the state, one winery, restaurant and cafe at a time.

In these pages, you’ll voyage to each of this vast state’s 12 regions: Adelaide, Adelaide Hills, Fleurieu Peninsula, Barossa Valley, Riverland, Clare Valley, Flinders and Outback, Kangaroo Island, Limestone Coast, Yorke Peninsula, Eyre Peninsula, and River Murray, Lakes and Coorong.

There, you’ll find the best restaurants around the state, as well menu recommendations,

great places for a coffee, and all the activities you can enjoy, whatever region you’re in.

So, let this book sit on your coffee table year-round and as you go, tick off the places on your South Australian bucket list.

Safe travels!
