A VIP event brings together artists, industry, supporters, media and the wider community to celebrate South Australia’s buzzing arts scene.
Helpmann Academy warmly invites South Australians to the Graduate Exhibition 2026 VIP Vernissage – an exclusive preview that celebrates the imagination, ambition and creative promise of South Australia’s next generation of visual artists.
Held on Wednesday, February 11 from 6pm at SASA Gallery, Adelaide University, the VIP Vernissage offers an early opportunity to encounter new works at a pivotal moment in each emerging artist’s journey. It is an invitation to look closely, ask questions and support the ideas and practices that will shape the future of local arts.
The evening brings together artists, industry leaders, supporters and art lovers for a vibrant celebration of contemporary visual art practice. Guests will enjoy champagne, boutique gin, fine wines and curated canapés while exploring a rich and diverse exhibition spanning ceramics, glass, installation, moving image, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture and textiles.
More than a preview, the VIP Vernissage plays a vital role in sustaining emerging creatives. Every ticket purchased and artwork bought directly supports emerging creatives.
The exhibition features graduating artists from Adelaide University and Flinders University, who will also be considered for a suite of significant awards presented as part of the following opening night event.
“The VIP Vernissage is both a celebration and a gesture of belief,” Helpmann Academy CEO Jane MacFarlane said. “It’s an opportunity to champion emerging artists at a critical point in their careers and to invest collectively in the future strength of our creative community.”
Helpmann Academy invites artists, industry, supporters, media and the wider community to secure tickets to celebrate, connect and support the extraordinary talent of South Australia’s freshest emerging creatives.
