These fun, easy and delicious pine cones are so simple to pull together – invite the kids to help create the Christmas magic.
250g cream cheese, room temperature
125g caramel spread or dulce de leche
250g chocolate cereal shapes (I used
Milo Breakfast Cereal)
icing sugar
Mix the cream cheese with caramel spread until well combined. Form into 6 balls and put into the fridge for several hours to set slightly. Starting from the bottom, arrange the cereal shapes in a realistic way to represent a pine cone.
Leave in the fridge and when ready to serve, sprinkle with icing sugar.
These cones are best made on the day of serving, although the cream cheese mixture can be made several days in advance.
