This week, InDaily readers have their say on a mooted grandstand for MotoGP and a review into e-scooter laws.

This review will be another whitewash! I previously raised concerns with the new laws with Koutsantonis regarding insurance, age restrictions and risk of serious injury to riders and the public when they first unleashed these on the public. His response – the government can’t see a problem here! – Edward Jaeger
We live in Victor Harbor and are sick and tired of e-bikes, e-scooters and cyclists speeding along the esplanade footpath.
All of these cyclists always expect you to give way to them – there are pensioners, mothers with children and dog walkers trying to enjoy a nice walk but having to get out of the way of them and even having to take abuse from them 😡 NOT HAPPY. – Phil Birkett
What a convenient backflip by this Government! If they are concerned about the registration fee having an impact on recruitment, let the department pay it! No brainer! – Ted Jaeger
All while staff lose their jobs because “there is no room in the budget”. A disgusting misuse of funding. – Dr Helen Barrie
Is there any part of the park lands of this city that our Premier will not seize for his pet sporting projects?
There seems to be a blind spot in his mind to the value that parks have for the rest of us. Mr Malinauskas, please leave them alone. You have done enough damage already – Leo Redden
My family and I are regular tourists to Adelaide. What keeps bringing us back is, in part, Adelaide’s amazing park within a city, and we always remark at the incredible old street trees that Adelaide has managed to retain. So, we were in shock to see the intention to remove so many significant trees along the edge of the CBD to make way for the MotoGP, on top of the trees removed for the golf course. What lunacy! The state government really has to reconsider this, as it is really destroying the very assets that make Adelaide wonderful. Not to mention the impacts on urban heat for a city that experiences significant heatwaves. I hope the community can push back on this debacle. – Rob Law
It would be interesting to learn of any improvements in First Nations’ welfare during the first term of the SA Voice. I have yet to see any reporting of actual benefits coming out of that first term, even though I specifically requested the Premier to provide this in writing before the election.
It would also be interesting to learn how many pieces of legislation were referred to the Voice, and what they were, plus what changes to legislation then resulted.
It would also be helpful if the government would clearly espouse its proposals regarding Truth and Treaty and the proposed timetable for such.
The Voice seems to be shrouded in secrecy, and it’s time for a full, transparent reporting on its activities. – Graham Tench
An excellent piece by Amy Remeikis – my thoughts entirely. As a bike rider, when you hear an impatient vehicle, chances are it is a macho black ute with privatised number plates. Just screams at you – me, me, me. Horrid. We are just so selfish and immature? We could learn so much from our Asian neighbours. – John Harvey
Most of Hindmarsh Island is close to sea level. Has this new development taken rising sea levels into account? The rate of sea level rise is still accelerating in response to global warming and is likely to be higher than at present for at least the rest of this century. Very likely, sea level will rise by over a metre this century, whilst a minimum of seven metres of sea level rise is locked in over subsequent centuries. – Gordon Stanger
