A search for the brother of Adelaide Crows captain Jordan Dawson, who was missing in the South East of South Australia, has ended after his body was tragically located on Wednesday afternoon.

It followed Jaryd Dawson’s wife Jessica Carter Dawson earlier issuing a plea on social media asking for news saying her husband had been missing in Robe since around 2.30pm on Tuesday.

“If anyone has seen or heard from Jaryd Dawson since around 2.30pm yesterday please, please let us know,” she wrote, tagging Jaryd’s mother and sister Marian Dawson and Chloe Cane.

SA Police told InDaily that police, with the assistance of emergency services, had been searching for the 35-year-old man in Robe.

“SAPOL is preparing a report for the coroner following the death of a man in the state’s south-east,” a police spokesperson said later in the day.

“There are no suspicious circumstances and SAPOL is requesting respect for the family’s privacy.”

Jaryd was the co-founder of Domus Design & Build, a boutique home building company based in Robe.

Jordan Dawson did not attend Crows football training on Wednesday with the club saying it was because of personal reasons.

Jaryd and Jessica were married in 2024 and welcomed a new baby boy in December.
