The South Australian executive search firm has appointed three experienced business leaders to an Advisory Board as it enters its next phase of growth.

EGM Partners is strengthening its leadership structure with the formation of a new Advisory Board designed to bring independent expertise and strategic counsel to the South Australian executive search and recruitment firm.
The board brings together experienced leaders in governance, finance and executive operations, giving EGM’s founders Mark and Yasmine Johnson access to perspectives beyond the day-to-day running of the business as it enters its next phase of growth.
Chaired by experienced non-executive director Levi Mitchell, the Advisory Board also includes chartered accountant and National Accounts managing director Michael Wilczynski, along with former OTR chief operating officer Michaela Webster GAICD.
For EGM, the move comes as the business marks its 10th year and continues to evolve from the boutique firm established by the Johnsons in 2016.
The establishment of the Advisory Board forms part of EGM’s broader focus on succession, sustainable growth and the future of the business. It adds an important layer to EGM’s leadership structure, providing external perspective, challenge and guidance as the business continues to evolve and grow.
Mitchell brings extensive governance and risk experience to the role of chair. He has held non-executive and committee roles across the disability, community and environmental sectors, including Novita and Green Adelaide’s Risk and Performance Committee.
He also previously led Asia Pacific regulatory compliance for global claims management firm Crawford & Company, giving him experience in risk, regulatory compliance and organisational governance.
Wilczynski brings a financial and commercial perspective. A chartered accountant and managing director of National Accounts, he has more than a decade of experience in financial systems, ERP and business process automation, including time as a partner at Accodex.
Webster brings more than three decades of executive leadership experience and extensive board experience. As the former Chief Operating Officer of South Australian family business OTR, she was involved in the growth of one of the state’s best-known privately owned organisations, with additional executive experience in the UK.
Together, the three provide EGM with expertise that complements the experience already within the partnership.
Yasmine Johnson says establishing the board is also about ensuring EGM holds itself to the same standards of leadership and governance it encourages among the organisations it works with.
“We’re invested in South Australia and connected to the industries that make it work,” she says. “Defence, space, resources, infrastructure, professional services – these aren’t sectors we read about, they’re sectors we live in.”
That connection to South Australia’s business community is central to EGM’s growth strategy.
The firm works across executive search and recruitment, supporting organisations as they identify and appoint leaders at a time when competition for experienced talent continues to shape business decisions across the state.
For EGM, however, the focus is not simply on the next appointment or the next stage of growth. It is on building an organisation capable of continuing to evolve beyond its founders.
“We’ve never been interested in playing a finite game,” Mark Johnson says. “It’s about staying in. About being here for the long game and making sure the firm is stronger 10 years from now than it is today.”
