Arts Images Gallery joined an illustrious selection of local businesses last night as it was inducted into the Hall of Fame at the 2026 Eastside Business Awards.

The gallery, which was recognised for four decades of dedication to South Australia’s vibrant artistic community, was one of 10 winners on the night. Three new legends were also crowned – including Tito Pignetti – Training & Consulting which took out two of the 11 awards. (See below for the full list.)

The judging panel included City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters Mayor Robert Bria and Manager, Marketing & Place Activation Claire Betchley, along with David Simmons from Solstice Media, the publisher of InDaily, CityMag and SALIFE.

“On behalf of the Council, I extend my sincere congratulations to all winners and finalists in this year’s Eastside Business Awards,” Bria said. “Your dedication, passion and commitment to excellence is what makes our community such a vibrant and thriving place.

“Being recognised by your peers and the community is a significant achievement, and you should be incredibly proud.”

InDaily deputy editor Simmons said Art Images Gallery was a standout and deserving of its win.

“Art Images Gallery is such a staple of The Parade,” he said. “It is fantastic to see a business have such enduring success in the art industry, and it truly deserves to be elevated to the Hall of Fame.

“All of the other winners of the awards are businesses I myself have come to love over the years, especially the iconic HOYTS Norwood.”

Art Images Gallery opened in 1985 with a focus on contemporary fine art and picture framing. Over the past 40 years it has become a regular venue for the Adelaide Fringe, and has represented renowned Australian artists, including cartoonist and philosopher Michael Leunig for more than 30 years.

The gallery has also expanded beyond traditional exhibitions to offer comprehensive services like art rental, corporate art consultation and professional installation.

The annual Eastside Business Awards, an initiative of the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters, has been running since 2018.

The council area is home to more than 7000 businesses across a wide range of industries, with key main street precincts of The Parade, Magill Road, Payneham Road, Kent Town, Stepney and Glynde Corner.
