The 2026 Eastside Business Awards celebrate the very best of the local area.

More than 700 local businesses have  been nominated, representing the very best of Adelaide’s east, with the 2026 Eastside Business Awards finalists now revealed.

Now in its ninth year, the awards – delivered by the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters in partnership with Solstice Media – continue to shine a spotlight on the operators, teams and ideas shaping one of South Australia’s most vibrant local economies.

Spanning cafés, restaurants, retailers, health providers and professional services, this year’s finalists reflect the diversity, resilience and innovation that define the Eastside business community. More than just a list of names, they represent hundreds of daily interactions – morning coffees, late dinners, retail discoveries and essential services – that underpin life in the area.

While the 2026 program introduces some refined categories to better reflect how people live, work and spend, the core focus remains unchanged: celebrating businesses that consistently deliver quality experiences and strong community connection.

Since launching in 2018, the Eastside Business Awards have grown into a key fixture on the local business calendar. For many operators, being named a finalist is more than recognition – it’s an endorsement from both customers and peers, and a signal of sustained excellence in an increasingly competitive landscape.

Businesses going above and beyond

Across this year’s categories, a clear theme emerges: businesses that go beyond expectations, creating experiences that keep locals coming back.

In Best Arts/Entertainment Experience, HOYTS Norwood sits alongside Art Images Gallery and Belly Dance Arabesque – a mix of mainstream entertainment and independent creative expression that highlights the cultural depth of the area.

The Best Café category once again proves fiercely competitive. Finalists Doppio Co, Cheeky Grin Coffee and Cafetal reflect the strength of Adelaide’s café culture, where quality coffee, thoughtful menus and strong local followings are essential.

Dining continues to be a defining feature of the Eastside, with Best Restaurant/Pub finalists Taste of Nepal, Arkhe and Little Bang Brewery showcasing a broad spectrum of culinary experiences – from global flavours to contemporary Australian and locally brewed craft beer.

Health and wellbeing remain front of mind for many locals, and the Best Health/Fitness category highlights that demand. MOTUM Health, The Fit Space and Mission Complete are recognised for helping the community prioritise both physical and mental health.

Retailers, too, continue to evolve with changing consumer expectations. Best Retail finalists 48 Flavours, Dillons Bookshop and Trip to the Moon each offer something distinct – whether it’s artisan gelato, curated books or unique lifestyle products – contributing to a vibrant and experience-driven shopping scene.

The Best Independent Small Business category celebrates operators who have built strong reputations through dedication and personal service. Tito Pignetti – Training & Consulting joins Taste of Nepal and Art Images Gallery, highlighting the impact small businesses have on shaping local identity.

In personal care, Best Hair/Beauty Salon finalists Cozy Hair, Untangled Hairstylists and Sueno Hair demonstrate the importance of expertise, trust and customer experience.

The Best Food/Beverage Manufacturer category points to the strength of local production, with Prove Patisserie, Cafetal Coffee Co and Little Bang Brewery all contributing to the eastside’s growing reputation for quality and craftsmanship.

Rounding out the list, Best Professional Service finalists Tito Pignetti – Training & Consulting, 28th Street Agency and Hearing Sense highlight the depth of knowledge and support available to local businesses and residents alike.

Being named a finalist is no small feat. It reflects not only strong customer support but also consistency, adaptability and a commitment to excellence in a rapidly changing environment.

City of Norwood Paynenham & St Peters Mayor Robert Bria congratulated the finalists on their significant achievements.

“I congratulate all finalists of the Eastside Business Awards and thank you for the important role you play in shaping our local economy and community,” Mayor Bria said.

“Your hard work and commitment to delivering outstanding experiences help make our city a place people love to live, work and visit.”

As the Eastside continues to grow, the Eastside Business Awards remain an important platform for recognising the people and enterprises driving that momentum –celebrating not just success but the role local business plays in creating a connected, thriving community.
