Myriota – a leading global name in the direct-to-orbit satellite connectivity for Internet of Things (IoT) – is expanding its constellation agreement with Spire Global to introduce 16 more satellites.
The constellation, as an integral part of Myriota’s global space infrastructure, will assist in progressing the reliability of connectivity for Myriota customers worldwide, improving upon individual device security and updating the firmware updating capabilities.
Spire Global CEO Theresa Condor said: “In a world where IoT connectivity is increasingly crucial, satellites and space technology are more than just tools; they are foundational to the future of global communication networks.”
“As Myriota’s constellation grows, so does our collaboration with them, expanding from software to hardware with payloads that address the critical gaps in IoT communication. With Spire Space Services we are thrilled to continue our long-term work with Myriota in reimagining how the world connects,” Condor said.
“This expansion will be a huge improvement to the reliability of the IoT devices network across the globe, and it is hoped that Myriota customers will experience better security, faster data retrieval and witness improved device control within their homes.”
Seppeltsfield, owned by The Randall Wine Group, is putting one of its rarest wines into one lucky winner’s hands with a competition.
The wine up for grabs is a 1878 Para Vintage Tawny – a wine laid down by the son of the Seppeltsfield founders, Oscar ‘Benno’ Seppelt.
Seppeltsfield head of sales and marketing Lauren Mudge said she was excited about the competition.
“I don’t think we can get much better than this, I’m a bit nervous for what we’ve set ourselves up for,” she said.
“It’s stepping back into our history. The very first vintage in the centennial cellar was 1878, so Benno Seppelt laid down a barrel of his finest port in 1878 and proclaimed it would not be touched for 100 years, and that tradition has continued every single year since – so it was the first vintage that was laid down in the centennial cellar at Seppeltsfield.
“It’s actually not at all for sale. It’s a money can’t buy addition to your cellar.”
The competition closes on Sunday, 11 May, and entries can be made on the Seppeltsfield website.
