The latest issue of CityMag is on streets now, revealing SA’s 40 Under 40 and the best places to buy ramen.
CityMag’s winter edition reveals the 40 inspiring young leaders that are shaping the future of SA, which is the culmination of months of hard work from our journalists, photographers, designers and events team.
Although you can see who made the cut online right now, we know there’s nothing like seeing yourself or your mates in print.
Our 40 were photographed by the fantastic Jack Fenby at the light-filled Upstairs Studio at The Mill. Our cover star is the winner of CityMag’s Inspiring Female Leaders Award, Amber Brock-Fabel.
At just 17 years old, Amber founded the South Australian Youth Forum, which grew into the state’s largest youth-led advocacy body. She’s a trailblazer and emblematic of the level of talent and ambition in Adelaide that CityMag loves to showcase.
With Fenby’s photography and our lead graphic designer Jayde Vandborg’s capable hand, the 40 shine through the pages.
Our comfort food this winter has been hearty bowls of ramen, which we find the best of, and we’ve been listening to Shamisen player and local artist Noriko Tadano, who you can learn more about ahead of her performance at Illuminate.
In this edition, you also get three mags for the (always free) price of one.
The Post, a partnership between the state government and Solstice Media, explores how sporting clubs tackle mental health and how AI is changing hospitals.
While Flinders University outlines Wicked Problems, the issues that matter most to South Australians. Inside you’ll find SA’s top 15 problems and leading solutions to areas like improving the health system, tackling food insecurity and curbing crime.
Like always, we’ll bring you the latest food and drink openings and the most fashionable people in Adelaide – this month capturing the joy of thrifting at Second Life Markets.
Find your free CityMag at restaurants, bars, cafes, libraries and uni campuses around the CBD and some surrounding suburbs. Or, pick up a copy from the stand outside our office on 165 Grenfell Street.
Happy reading.
