The first step is to have an assessment through My Aged Care. This helps to understand what support you may need and the level of funding you may be eligible for. You’re welcome to contact My Aged Care yourself, or sometimes a doctor or health professional can help organise this for you.

Once you receive your letter from My Aged Care outlining the supports you’ve been approved for, we can gently guide you through what comes next.

At St Louis Home Care, we start with a no-obligation conversation to get to know you and understand your goals. This can take place over the phone, or in some cases we may arrange a visit if appropriate. We’ll talk through the services we offer and explain how your funding may be used with St Louis, so you can make an informed choice about your provider and decide whether our approach is right for you. There’s no pressure — just a conversation to help you feel informed and confident.

We will supply you with an information pack that you can read through in your own time and share with your family or loved ones. We understand that decisions like this are important and often best made together.
