Describe the best moment of your life.
The best moments of my life are when I’m surrounded by all my loved ones. Events like my birthday and exhibition openings are moments that always bring together the people closest to me.

What brings you joy in life?
Going out for brunch and dinners with my faves. Seeing a project come to life. Rest/self-care days.

What is the best photograph you have?
The best photograph I have was shot by Rosina Possingham from my solo show in February this year. I think it’s so cinematic and theatrical showing two of my pieces at once.

What is the hardest lesson you’ve had to learn?
Rejection and failure is are always learning opportunities and everything happens for a reason. Just because something doesn’t work out, it will lead to something else and opportunities.

What’s the best advice you’ve been given?
Be experimental. In an artistic practice you can get caught up in your own comfortability, so being encouraged to be experimental even if it doesn’t work out was some of the best advice which has allowed me to broaden my horizons and keep taking risks to create interesting works.

Describe the best meal you’ve ever eaten.
Growing up in restaurants with majority of my family being chefs I’ve had the privilege of having many ‘best meals I’ve eaten’. From Japanese, to peking duck to traditional dishes from Taiwan and Shanghai. I’m very fortunate to have been immersed in amazing dishes from a range of cultures.

What are the best qualities of your favourite person?
Charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent.
