The Australian Defence Force has confirmed one soldier has died, and five have been injured, during an incident at its Mount Bundey training area.

The defence force confirmed the army member died during an exercise at the Mount Bundey training area on Monday.
Five other soldiers were also injured in the incident, the force said in a statement.
“Next of kin have been notified,” the defence spokesman said.
“We request that the privacy of defence members and families is respected at this time.
“Defence will provide further updates when possible.”
