Prince Harry, Meghan to relocate back to UK: reports

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly plan to move back to Britain more than six years after they relocated to California.

Prince Harry ‌and his wife, Meghan Markle, ‌are reportedly planning to relocate with ‌their children back to Britain this month, six years after they stepped ‌down ‌from ⁠their royal duties and moved to California.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are relocating ⁠with ‌Prince Archie, 7, ​and Princess Lilibet, ​5, to ‌Britain for an ​extended period and the children will begin school ​there ​in ​September, People magazine and ‌British newspaper The Daily Telegraph reported.

The couple will make their home in a non-royal residence outside of London, the newspaper said.

Spokespeople for Harry and Meghan had ​no comment.

It is understood there will no change to Harry and Meghan’s role and status as private individuals and non-working members of the royal family.

King Charles was first made aware of the move on Sunday and is understood to welcome the opportunity to see more the family both in a private and personal capacity.

Harry’s estranged brother, Prince William, and his wife Catherine, Princess of Wales have also been informed about the move.

Harry and Meghan’s status will remain the same, with the couple not being offered a “half-in-half-out” option when it comes to their roles.
