Leave immediately: Evacuation zone as fire releases toxic fumes
Emergency services have declared an evacuation zone as toxic fumes drift across an Adelaide suburb, a worker on site was reportedly rescued earlier today.
A one kilometre evacuation zone has been established at Port Adelaide after a structure caught fire today, with reports a worker was rescued from the shed earlier today.
Fire crews responded to a shed fire with sulphur burning inside along Moonta Road just before 10.15am.
Emergency services are now warning anyone located within one kilometre of Moonta Road in Port Adelaide to leave immediately. Locals living in the area are also being warned to keep windows and curtains closed.

Large volumes of smoke has been produced from the fire that is burning sulphur and is considered toxic, with smoke travelling in a South to South East direction.
“Do not enter the area – it is extremely dangerous,” a Metropolitan Fire Service announcement said.
Emergency services are on the scene.
