A group of teenagers from Adelaide’s northern suburbs will face court after an SA Police investigation into footage of unregulated youth “fight clubs”.

Eight teenagers who were allegedly involved in unregulated ‘fight clubs’, including a 17-year-old organiser, will face court, SA Police have confirmed.
It comes after footage emerged of young boys and girls fighting in public parks in Adelaide’s northern suburbs earlier this month, sparking outrage from senior government officials.
On Tuesday July 14, SA Police arrested a 17-year-old Davoren Park boy they believed to be the organiser of the unregulated ‘fight club’ that was posting videos of fights on social media for about four months.
The social media pages have been since removed from Instagram and YouTube after Police Minister Michael Brown contacted the platforms last week to remove the worrying footage featuring the minors.
The Davoren Park boy was charged with seven counts of aid and abet fighting in a public place and seven counts of publishing material depicting offences.
He was bailed and would appear in the Elizabeth Youth Court on September 4.
Seven other teenagers, five boys and two girls, were also reported for fighting in a public place and would face court at a later date, SA Police said.
The youngest was a 13-year-old Elizabeth Downs girl, while the oldest were two 17-year-old boys from Elizabeth and Salisbury.
Fights have been taking place in public parks for the past four months. After reports of the fight club’s social media presence made local news in July, the group’s Instagram page attracted more than 500 additional followers, one video having amassed more than 500,000 views before it was removed.
Police commenced investigations on July 7, after Police Minister Michael Brown, Premier Peter Malinauskas and Opposition Leader Ashton Hurn backed calls to crack down on the worrying events.
