Emergency services are fighting a fire at Parafield after a plane crashed into a hangar, residents warned about masses of smoke from the site.

Police and firefighters are at Parafield after a light plane crashed into a hangar.
About 2.10pm today, police and emergency services were called to an area near Kings Road after reports that a small plane had collided with a hangar as it was attempting to land.
The immediate area has been evacuated as emergency services deal with the incident.
An MFS announcement said its firefighters were currently responding to a structure fire at Parafield Airport in Parafield, which is causing smoke to drift south towards Mawson Lakes and surrounding suburbs.

Firefighters are actively on scene battling the blaze. The MFS recommended that all members of the community avoid the area due to the large number of emergency vehicles currently present.
The MFS recommends that those in the area stay inside, close windows, doors, and air vents.
In January, a learner pilot crashed on takeoff at the airport, nosediving into the runway and starting a fire.
