A popular breakfast radio show has suffered a nearly one per cent fall in popularity, with their rivals in Collinswood rising up the ranks.

The ABC’s Sonya Feldhoff and Jules Schiller have risen up the breakfast radio ranks to take the number two spot in the latest radio rankings, but still trail the perennial leaders at Triple M.
And they’ve knocked 5AA’s Will Goodings and David Penberthy down a notch after the duo suffered a 0.9 per cent fall in listenership to 10.8 per cent.
The survey covered the period of February 8 to April 4, meaning the impact of Kiis 102.3’s new golden boys Ben and Liam is yet to be properly recorded, as the pair only stepped up to the mics on April 1.
While Triple M still has a commanding lead in the breakfast slot of 13.9 per cent of total listenership, the trio of Roo, Ditts and Loz lost half a percentage point in the period.
Still, this latest result is the 25th time at the very top of the pile out of the last 26 surveys for the trio who seemingly cannot be pushed off their perch.
Will and Dave will likely be hoping the next radio rankings blow in their favour. With AFL season now in full swing, the next results may deliver for the footy-loving pair.
Of the top three, the ABC was the only station to gain listeners in the breakfast period. They were likely beneficiaries of the state election and the news cycle surrounding it, as morning listeners tuned in for political analysis and interviews with candidates.
It was SAFM’s Bel, Bernie and Emma G who enjoyed the biggest gains over the ratings period, rising 1.3 per cent to 10.2 per cent of total listenership.
This placed them on equal footing in the number four spot with Nova’s Jodie and Haysey, who also grew their listenership by half a per cent.
Overall, Triple M still rules the airwaves in South Australia, enjoying a commanding 12.2 per cent share of total listeners.
The station built on its popularity in the breakfast slot to win the mornings and afternoon slots too.
Only by the drive slot does Triple M fall off from the number one position, where Nova 91.9 takes the lead.
5AA’s Matthew Pantelis is well ahead in the evenings at 13.3 per cent, and Nova 91.1 rules the South Australian weekend.
