Shooting is starting on a new shark satire movie at an Adelaide seaside region on Friday and its directors are sending out an SOS for “extras” to join the cast.

Attention aspiring actors, there is a call out for South Australians to get on board for a micro-budget feature film shooting at Largs Bay this Friday.
From the creator of cult horror-comedy Dropbear comes the new Project Great White that is being described as “Predator meets Love Island”.
Writer-director John deCaux said the film even includes a nod to SA’s algal bloom – as the plot line centres around a reality TV shoot colliding with poisoned water and a government cover up.
“This is a really exciting one to be shooting locally,” deCaux said.
“It’s fast, chaotic, and exactly the kind of film we love making.”

The film is being shot over 10 days, producers say, using coastal locations across Adelaide’s north-west.
They say the casting call is a “rare opportunity for locals to experience a working film set and be part of a South Australian production from the ground up”.
“We’re always trying to bring people into the process where we can,” producer Jackson Johns says.
“This is a fun one to be part of big energy, big chaos, and a chance to say you survived a shark movie.”
They say no experience is necessary and encourage locals of all backgrounds to get involved by registering interest at [email protected].
Filming will take place at the Largs Bay Jetty, this Friday (March 27) at 4.30pm.
