InDaily announces new Editor
An award-winning South Australian journalist is the new Editor of InDaily.
New Editor Belinda Willis brings decades of experience working as a senior reporter and editor in Australia and overseas to the role.
She was most recently State Political Editor at The Advertiser newspaper and has covered major news stories for the BBC and Guardian group in London, along with newspapers in Melbourne and California in the United States.
Her vast experience incorporates business reporting along with a stint at the North-West Evening Mail, a newspaper based in the British town where Australia’s first new nuclear-powered submarines will be built.
“I am delighted to be taking on the role of Editor at InDaily,” Willis said.
“Our independent newsroom has ambitious plans to grow, and our team is passionate about uncovering stories that celebrate South Australia and hold our leaders to account.”
Willis is a member of the SA Press Club committee and regular guest on the Spin Cycle at the ABC.
Solstice Media also has appointed leading business reporter David Simmons to Deputy Editor and experienced journalist Emily Griffiths as news producer as InDaily positions itself for the future
Simmons was previously Senior Journalist and Business Editor at InDaily and said he was keen to work with the new leadership team to take the news site to the next level.

Before joining Solstice Media, Simmons was a journalist at Business News Australia for seven years and was an executive producer at local community radio station Fresh 92.7.
InDaily is an SA-based independent digital news publication distributed by email to over 60,000 subscribers daily. It has been publishing for almost 20 years and has won numerous journalism awards for its coverage of South Australia.
Willis will also be overseeing InDaily Queensland.
