Winners and Losers: SA microcaps rise amid flurry of financial reports

Antiacid sales were higher in August as investors had to stomach a daily dose of wildly volatile company reports, analysts say.

After a series of disappointing results, Kelsian met expectations and promised good momentum heading into FY26.

It made it into the top five Winners of the week, trailing four smaller companies, including Fortifai – formerly Mighty Kingdom – which rose 37.5 per cent to take the top spot.

Mayfrield Group also rose by 34.21 per cent, after announcing a second consecutive year of outstanding performance.

The company is now well positioned for continued growth, it said, with a strong order book extending through 2026.

Microcaps generally rose a whopping 9.8 per cent – per the Emerging Companies Index.

Domestically, ASX200 stocks also rose by 2.63 per cent for the month of August.

As for the Losers: Prophecy International fell 15.34 per cent, Andromeda Metals 14.29 per cent and Adrad Holdings 12.58 per cent.
