For the next two weeks, InDaily will take a closer look at some of the 2025 40 Under 40. Today, meet the winner of the Entrepreneurial Award.
Greg Stevens is the founder of Core Ventures Group (CVG) – a seed-to-stage venture capital firm.
He is also the general manager of agricultural technology company Seed Terminator. Stevens says Seed Terminator is revolutionising weed management with mechanical harvest seed control.
Meanwhile, CVG has developed outdoor living brands Billy Smoker, Solarpergola and SEA~T Collective, as well as the design and engineering consultancy Plant Grow Prosper.
“I am dedicated to scaling an Adelaide-born start-up globally, while building an innovation group that develops commercially successful, socially responsible products,” said Stevens.
William Buck principal Daniel Proctor, who presented the Entrepreneurial Award at the 40 Under 40 Awards gala dinner, said his firm knew “firsthand the courage, creativity and resilience it takes to turn a bold idea into a thriving enterprise”.

“The Entrepreneurial Award celebrates exactly that — not just success, but the spirit of taking risks, creating opportunities, and backing yourself when no one else will,” Proctor said.
“This year’s recipient embodies those qualities and more. A visionary leader, a problem solver, and a true innovator whose work is having an impact well beyond the borders of this state.
“He is an entrepreneur dedicated to scaling his Adelaide-born startup globally, while building an innovation group that develops commercially successful, socially responsible products in sustainable agriculture, renewable energy and premium design.”
Stevens joined a cohort of 39 other inspiring young leaders aged under 40 at a gala dinner in June.
