Arson suspected in Adelaide restaurant blaze

A fire which extensively damaged a Henley Beach Road kebab restaurant overnight is being treated as suspicious.

Police said flames were visible inside the Saray Kebab House and Cafe at Torrensville after 3am Friday morning.

The fire at 174 Henley Beach Rd was extinguished by MFS crews and there were no reported injuries but the venue was extensively damaged.

Henley Beach Road was closed during the incident but has since reopened.

Fire cause investigators attended the scene this morning and police say the blaze is being treated as suspicious.

Local MP and Transport Minister Tom Koutsantonis posted on social media that he was “devastated” by the news.
