Dom Cassisi is selling his luxury three storey townhouse with views over West Lakes, the city and Adelaide Hills in the exclusive suburb of Tennyson.

Former Port Adelaide captain and premiership winner Dom Cassisi has always lived coastal, but he says nothing quite compares to this exclusive seaside suburb.
“Tennyson is so tightly held – it feels like you’re away, it doesn’t feel like you’re in the metropolitan area, it is just so private,” Dom says.
“It could be a 40-degree day and you go down to Henley and you can’t get a car park, but at Tennyson there’s only five people at the beach even though it’s only a couple of kilometres away.
“I’ve lived in Somerton Park and Henley and those areas are fantastic, but the quietness of Tennyson and having the beach to yourself is unbelievable.”

Dom and his business partner developed three luxury townhouses on Military Road using Reality Commercial Projects for the design and construction, completed in 2024.
“We did want to make it more of a commercial build in terms of using tilt up precast concrete.”
“We went to a lot of effort to make sure it was a quality build.”
High end finishes were also used in the interiors including marble bench tops and herringbone floors. The home also features a lift and turntable in the driveway.

Dom says a lot of thought went into the layout of the home, and because he and his family would be moving into one of the townhouses, he was able to approach it from a different perspective.
“We really thought about what it would be like to live there.”
“I think because I was moving in there, it allowed us to put a lot more thought into the functionality of the home, rather than profit.”
Because of the slope of the property and the way it cuts into the land the home is unique in its layout which lends itself to the overall functionality.

The ground floor, which could also be considered a basement, features a spacious garage, laundry and additional living area that is currently a gym, but could also be used as an office or home theatre.
The first floor has both a balcony at the front of the expansive open living and dining area and an outdoor alfresco at the rear. Finally, four bedrooms including the master, ensuite and bathroom are located on the top floor.
The functionality of the second storey’s open living and dining is one of Dom’s favourite things about the home.
“We wanted to be able to entertain across that whole middle level – you could have a barbecue out the back, go to the beach and come back and that middle level would be the only level that needed to be used.”
“And if the kids wanted to go to bed they wouldn’t be disrupted and we could still enjoy that whole level.”
Dom says this location has the best of both worlds with proximity to West Lakes and the beach.
“We wanted to make sure we made the most of natural light and made the most of the views overlooking the lake towards the Adelaide Hills and the city.”
“You can see people rowing in the lake all the way through to the city and the hills.
“In the morning it’s spectacular; you can see the sun coming over the hills while you’re lying in bed.”
The home is on the corner of the development so it not only had access to the road from the garage on the ground level, but from the side gate off the al fresco.

“We’re in a rare location between the lake at West Lakes and the ocean behind us.”
“If it was windy, we’d take the dogs and walk around the lake because it’s protected and if it was beautiful weather we’d go out the back gate and go to the beach.
“In 100 metres you’re walking on the sand and can go for a swim – we wouldn’t even wear shoes – hang out, come back, have an outdoor shower and then you’re back inside watching TV or having a barbecue.”
“We have so many great memories there with friends.
“You can’t do that a lot of places.”
The sale of 41 Military Road, Tennyson is being handled by Jordan Begley of TOOP+TOOP.
