Built by Alan Sheppard Constructions, this snow white, Georgian-inspired Wattle Park home is surrounded by a unique swimming pool and features an elegant spiral staircase. Now, the luxury five-bedroom abode could be yours.
Jacky and his family have lived at 15 Grenache Avenue, Wattle Park, since 2017, telling SALIFE he was initially attracted to its elegance and its prime location.
“When you walk in, you feel like the living area is separate from your workspace. The upstairs and the downstairs are totally separate, so if the kids are playing, you don’t need to worry about noise in the office. So, that was very impressive – the design is perfect,” says Jacky, a managing director.
“Opposite is Branson Reserve for the kids and pets – that’s very convenient to go to, and also the place is safe and quiet; it’s a very nice place.”
Wattle Park is also near Penfolds Magill Estate, Burnside Village and the Parade, as well as sought-after public and private schools.
Built by Alan Sheppard Constructions in 2012, the home sits on 835 square metres of land and includes five bedrooms, three bathrooms and a double garage
“Alan Sheppard is excellent, and they build really high-end properties around the suburbs – the previous owner had great ideas for the house,” says Jacky.
Walking through the jet-black double doors into the entryway, you will catch a glimpse of the stunning spiral stairway in the central atrium.
Another standout feature is the showstopping swimming pool, which surrounds the home’s elegant white exterior.
Other highlights include the open-plan kitchen, living and dining area. Then there’s the formal lounge and the master suite, which includes a spacious walk-in wardrobe and an en suite with a large spa bath.
Large windows throughout the house bring in abundant natural light and provide views of the leafy surrounds.
The elegant house also includes high-grade sustainability and security features, including a 6.6-kilowatt solar electrical system and an 11-kilowatt battery system, a C-Bus home automation system, a security alarm system, and reverse-cycle zoned air conditioning.
With such high-calibre design, there was little need for Jacky to carry out his own renovations.
However, he did install new herringbone flooring, replace the downlights, upgrade the hot water system to commercial grade and install a chandelier.
Outdoors, Jacky has completely transformed the garden, which includes plants such as lemon, peach and pear trees.
“It’s very easy to maintain and every year, they bring a lot of fruit,” says Jacky.
Jacky says his favourite feature of the home is the division between different quarters.
“If I’m working in the laundry or in my office, I can be apart from the family while they are running, playing or having parties,” he says.
After about nine years, Jacky has decided to pass on 15 Grenache Avenue, Wattle Park, to a new family.
He says he will miss the entire home, but especially the swimming pool.
Jacky will also cherish the precious family memories he’s made in Wattle Park.
“There have been birthday parties and a celebration when we first moved into the house – it has a lot of memories for the family,” he says.
The sale of 15 Grenache Avenue, Wattle Park, is being handled by Glenn McMillan of Toop + Toop.
