Port Adelaide’s AFLW captain will retire at the end of the season after a decorated career featuring three premierships at the Crows.

Port Adelaide’s AFLW stalwart Justine Mules-Robinson says the prospect of parenthood is a factor in her retirement at season’s end.
Mules-Robinson, an inaugural AFLW player who won three premierships with Adelaide before moving to the Power, and her wife Liv are expecting their first child this year.
“I’m taking on a new role to being the best future mum and wife I can be,” she said.
Mules-Robinson featured in the inaugural AFLW season with the Crows after being prompted by friends to nominate for the draft.
“To think that being on a night out with mates and putting my name into the first AFLW draft would somehow lead me here,” she said.
“I have been lucky enough to have an incredible career and even luckier to finish it here, at Port Adelaide, and the honour of being captain.”
Mules-Robinson played 49 games with Adelaide, highlighted by flags in 2017, 2019 and 2022, and the reliable utility has added 54 games with the Power, who she has captained since last year.
“Of course, the premierships are a standout of my career,” she said.
“But what will stay with me are the crazy times, the little moments, and lifelong bonds I’ve made with the girls.”
With two minor-round games remaining this season, 11th-placed Port are destined to miss the finals.
