Australian agribusiness company Elders has welcomed René Dedoncker as its new CEO.

Dedoncker has more than 30 years’ experience in senior roles across the food industry and currently serves as the CEO of Lactalis-Mainland Dairy.
He also spent more than 20 years at New Zealand dairy co-operative Fonterra where he held several senior executive roles including as CEO of cheese brand Mainland Group.
Prior to working at Fonterra, Dedoncker held senior management roles at confectionery business Mars Corporation including as general manager of international sales and operations.
“My first priority is to spend time with our people, customers and partners across the country, listen to their perspectives and build a clear understanding of where we can have the greatest impact,” Dedoncker said.
Reconciliation SA has announced the appointment of Clyde Rigney Jr as its new CEO.

Rigney Jr is a proud Ngarrindjeri man and Aboriginal leader with experience in governance, community engagement and reconciliation.
He has held senior leadership positions across Aboriginal community-controlled organisations including as CEO of the Ngarrindjeri Regional Authority and as a board member of the Aboriginal Lands Trust.
Rigney Jnr has also held roles including senior strategic cultural adviser at Anglicare SA, reconciliation coordinator at SAHMRI, Aboriginal engagement and reconciliation adviser at SA Water and manager at PwC’s Indigenous Consulting.
“Clyde brings a deep understanding of community, culture and the reconciliation movement, combined with extensive leadership experience and a strong record of building relationships across sectors,” Reconciliation SA Co-Chairperson Jeremy Johncock said.
Treasury Wine Estates (TWE) has announced the appointment of Justin Pipito as group chief financial officer.

Pipito is a senior finance leader with more than ten years experience at TWE including serving as interim chief financial officer and Penfolds chief financial officer.
Prior to joining the company, Pipito was head of financial planning and analysis at iSelect and was senior finance manager at Carlton and United Breweries.
He has held senior finance positions across Australia and China, including as TWE’s Asia chief financial officer where he was based in Shanghai.
“Following a comprehensive assessment process, the Board and management are confident he is well placed to support the continued execution of TWE’s strategy and long-term value creation for shareholders,” TWE CEO Sam Fischer said.

Yumbah Aquaculture has appointed Naomi Matthews as its chief marketing and sales officer.

Matthews has more than 25 years’ experience in senior marketing and sales roles and was previously manager director of Trident Seafoods Europe and Pickenpack Seafoods in Germany.
She has previously held positions as global commercial strategy and food innovation director at Costa Coffee in the United Kingdom and head of trade, deli and seafood at Woolworths Australia.
Matthews was also general manager of Clearwater Seafoods in Nova Scotia, Canada and director of seafood operations at Sobeys Inc.
“Naomi brings a rare combination of deep experience across the seafood industry, expertise in global retail and food service and a track record of delivering margin and growth in complex, multi-channel businesses,” Yumbah CEO David Wood said.
Sport SA has announced the appointment of four new directors to its board.

Tanya Hosch is a respected leader in inclusion, governance and social impact where she has provided advocacy across sport, public policy and community development sectors.
Hosch was the first Indigenous person appointed to the AFL as executive general manager of inclusion and social policy where she worked for more than eight years.
She is currently a strategic adviser at First Nations Economic Empowerment Alliance, a director at The Goodes-O’Loughlin Foundation and deputy chair at the National Library of Australia.
Vicki Hume is a senior healthcare executive with experience leading large and complex services across South Australia’s health system.

In her current role as Central Adelaide’s program director of surgery, Hume oversees surgical services across the Royal Adelaide and Queen Elizabeth hospitals.
She has previously worked as the director of allied health reform at Central Adelaide Local Health Network and was acting executive director for the RAH project.
Joshua Taylor is a legal professional with more than 15 years’ experience advising businesses, organisations and associations across governance, employment, commercial and regulatory matters.

Taylor is a partner at business support law firm Taylor Wright Lawyers and is a managing partner Robyn White Lawyers and Conveyancers.
He has held senior roles across Australia including as a senior lawyer for Victoria’s Department of Education and Training and was practice leader at Relationships Australia in Queensland.
Daniel Crago has more than 20 years’ experience advising boards, executives and organisations across government, business and the not-for-profit sector with expertise in communications and stakeholder engagement.

Crago is a director and co-founder of Adelaide strategic communications consultancy Influence Communication and was the former general manager of JP Media Australia.
He has held senior managerial positions at People’s Choice Credit Union, Beyond Bank Australia and Adelaide Cemeteries Authority.
“Tanya, Vicki, Josh and Daniel each bring exceptional experience from their respective fields, and together they add tremendous depth across governance, leadership, advocacy and strategy,” Sport SA CEO Leah Cassidy said.
