Shares in one mining company soared on the back of an “outstanding” gold discovery, while SA rare earths companies enjoyed a solid week of investor attention.

Shares in SA-based gold and antimony explorer iTech Minerals rose by more than 65 per cent in the last trading week after an “outstanding” gold discovery was made in the Northern Territory.
On Thursday, the business – with a market capitalisation of almost $13 million – announced to the ASX that drilling in its Reynolds Range project in the Territory’s south-west discovered a “continuous, steeply dipping zone of gold-antimony mineralisation that is increasing in grade and thickness at depth”.
“These latest results… continue to reinforce the scale and grade of the gold-antimony system at Reynolds Range,” managing director Mike Schwarz said.
“Importantly, the mineralisation remains open and increasing in grade and width at depth, giving us real confidence as we plan the next phase of drilling.”
Power Minerals and Iondrive were also Winners last week, with shares rising by 32 per cent and 25 per cent respectively on the back of rare earths discovery announcements.
1414 Degrees – a battery technology development company – also had a solid week, rising 22 per cent over the five trading days.
This followed two major pieces of news, including that its new Aerospace, Drone and Defence Advisory Board was ‘operational’ and engaged in initiating new business opportunities.
It also announced it would be able to enter the European space industry after signing a new partnership with an Italian company called Space Industries.
On the Losers front, Elixir Energy suffered a 33 per cent drop in its share price despite announcing “positive” results from a gas flow test.
While Jade Gas also fell by 14.46 per cent in the trading week after an $11 million share placement was completed.
