Myriota welcomes chief financial officer
Telecommunications provider Myriota has welcomed Richard Leon as its new chief financial officer.
Leon has two decades of experience in chief finance roles where he has led technology companies through major growth milestones, including global expansion, strategic acquisitions and successful capital raises.
He was recently the chief financial officer at Altium Limited where he assisted with the $9.1 billion acquisition by Renesas Electronics and led a capital raise totalling $45 million.
Leon has also served as chief financial officer for Infomedia where he led its $85 million raise and delivered a fourfold increase in the company’s share price.
“Beyond his impressive achievements, Richard is himself making the decision to join a business whose mission, global potential and relentless approach to growth align,” Myriota CEO Ben Cade said.
SA Employment Tribunal appoints deputy president
Larissa Harrison has been appointed as a magistrate and deputy president of the SA Employment Tribunal.

Harrison has extensive experience of legal practice in workers’ compensation and industrial relations, including at several private sector law firms in Adelaide.
She was a senior associate at both Lieschke and Weatherill Lawyers and WK Lawyers and has been the national legal director at the United Workers Union where she oversaw the conduct of hundreds of proceedings in industrial courts and tribunals.
Throughout her career, Harrison has been involved in the Fair Work Commission’s aged care work value case, gender undervaluation proceedings, and supported bargaining for the early childhood education and care sector.
“Her significant experience in courts and tribunals across Australia will bring valuable insight and help ensure SAET continues to effectively operate as South Australia’s one-stop shop for employment and workers’ compensation disputes,” Industrial Relations Minister Kyam Maher said.
New sales chief at Sidewood
Oakbank winemaker Sidewood has appointed Sam Temme as its new chief sales and operations manager.
Temme has more than 30 years’ experience in the wine industry across sales leadership, brand development, international markets, operations, and customer relationships.
He has held senior leadership roles across Australia including as general manager of Woodstock in McLaren Vale and general manager of Lloyd Brothers.
Temme was also general manager of sales at Wirra Wirra and Ashton Hills Vineyards and sales and marketing manager at Charles Melton Wines.
“We’re excited for the journey ahead and look forward to what we can achieve together,” a Sidewood spokesperson said.

Stephen Unerkov has been appointed as chief financial officer after spending the past two years as chief financial officer for Northeast Auto Group
Unerkov has extensive international experience across US-listed multinational corporations, ASX, international private equity, private entities, and not-for-profit organisations.
He has previously served as senior finance officer for Amplitude Energy, chief financial officer for K-TIG, and a finance audit and risk management committee member for Australian Land Conservation Alliance.
Karen Prevost has been appointed as the company’s group human resources and workplace health and safety manager.
Prevost has more than two decades of experience supporting people, culture, safety, and compliance across automotive and commercial environments.
She is well-regarded for fostering high-performing, safe, and accountable workplaces where both people and the business can continue to grow sustainably.
Journey Beyond welcomes tourism professional
Tourism operator Journey Beyond has appointed Jennifer Vandekreeke as managing director of experiences and attractions.
Vandekreeke has more than 25 years’ experience in the global tourism industry across cruise, experiences and premium attractions sectors.
She has held several senior positions and senior leadership roles including as CEO of URBNSURF where she led commercial strategy, guest experience, brand, people and capital.
Prior to that, Vandekreeke was strategic adviser for Captain Cook Cruises Fiji, vice-president and general manager of Carnival Cruise Line Australia and was executive general manager for Expeditions at NRMA.
“Jennifer will lead our Experiences & Attractions division at an exciting time of growth, with responsibility for driving commercial performance, strengthening and elevating our guest experience even further,” Journey Beyond CEO Chris Tallent said.
