ForestrySA has announced Nathan Paine has been appointed as its new chief executive officer to commence in June.

Paine will lead ForestrySA in its management and protection of more than 16,000 hectares of native forest in the Mount Lofty Ranges and Limestone Coast regions.
He was previously CEO for the peak industry body representing resources, processing and bioproduct industries at the South Australian Forest Products Association.
Paine has also spent the past 12 years as director of Property and Consulting Australia and was previously managing director for Capetal Advisory which specialised in promoting and protecting interests when dealing with government.
“Nathan has been outstanding in his five years as CEO of the South Australian Forest Products Association, and his depth of knowledge of timber industries and insights into forest industries more broadly will be of significant value when it comes to managing the state’s pine plantations,” Minister for Forest Industries Clare Scriven said.
Basketball SA has announced the appointment of Ben MacCormack as its new chief executive officer.

MacCormack has more than 20 years’ experience across the sporting industry, including as CEO of Northern Districts Cricket Association in Hamilton, New Zealand, for the past seven years.
He has held several senior positions at Cricket ACT and Cricket NSW where he led governance, strategy and business operations across both organisations.
MacCormack was also CEO of AFL Europe where he led staff and stakeholder management for the European football governing body that had more than 6000 participants.
“Basketball in South Australia is experiencing significant growth and momentum, and we are confident Ben has the capability and vision to lead the organisation through its next chapter,” Basketball SA chair James Kitching said.
David Brown has been appointed to Jones Radiology as its new chief financial officer commencing May 25.

Brown has more than 15 years’ experience in healthcare and ASX-listed organisations, including his most recent role as CFO and executive director at Better Medical where he oversaw its sale to Medibank.
He was responsible for governance, capital structure, commercial operations and overall financial performance across a national general practitioner platform
Brown is also a chartered accountant, previously serving as CFO at Clean Seas Seafood and was a corporate finance director at Grant Thornton Australia where he advised clients nationally and across the Asia Pacific region.
Jones Radiology said Brown is recognised for his “collaborative leadership style and ability to translate complex commercial challenges into clear, decision-ready strategies”.

Siobhan Wigan has been appointed to the role of executive officer for Sustainable Winegrowing Australia to coincide with advisory board appointments.
Wigan is an experienced wine industry professional with technical skills across sustainability frameworks, wine production and business management.
She has been winemaker at Hentley Farm Wines in Seppeltsfield for the past 12 years where she has been assisted in the planning and logistics of vintage processing, cellar operations and bottling and packaging.
Prior to that, Wigan has been a winemaker at Shaw and Smith, a vintage cellar winemaker at Yalumba Wine Company and a vintage cellar hand at Bodegas Patrocinio in Spain.
The newly appointed board members will have a focus on enhancing the SWA program’s impact and value to its 1980 members and the wider winemaking industry.
“I look forward to working with the board, executive officer and industry stakeholders to build on the program’s strong foundations to continue to drive the outcomes that matter most for a more sustainable Australian grape and wine sector,” SWA independent chair Siobhan Toohill said.

The South Australian Country Fire Service (CFS) has appointed Jim Keatch AFSM as its first chaplain.

Keatch is an ordained Church of Christ Minister, and in the new role he will provide wellbeing support for the CFS’s 13,000 volunteers and their families through a statewide support network.
He has more than 30 years’ experience as volunteer firefighter with the CFS and has also served as a mental health professional with the stress prevention and management team for the SA Fire and Emergency Services Commission.
Keatch will use his near 20-year experience as Pembroke School chaplain in the new role where he will assist with celebrations, anniversaries, funerals, memorials, following injuries and significant events.
“If someone needs a listening ear, a steady presence, or support during tough moments, I want to be there to help and support them on behalf of the CFS and South Australian community,” Keatch said.
SA’s peak body for visual art, craft and design Guildhouse have appointed Emily Sidwell to its board of directors.

Sidwell has more than 20 years’ experience in senior leadership experience, organisational development, and strategy across government, not‑for‑profit, and private sectors.
She has more than 10 years’ experience in board roles and is a current director for Maeve Consulting and was a non-executive director for Holiday Explorers for eight years.
Sidwell has held senior roles in government including senior organisational development consultant for the Department for Human Services and manager of culture and capability for the Department for Industry, Innovation and Science.
“Emily’s expertise in leadership, culture, and strategic transformation underpins her dedication to supporting the arts community and delivering meaningful, sustainable impact,” a Guildhouse spokesperson said.
Adelaide-based environmental, health and safety solutions company SA2050 has appointed two experienced representatives as the company looks to increase sales of its Apex 2 Back-Support Device to Australian and New Zealand markets.

Marine Elissalde and Charlotte Brown have joined the company as senior workplace health and safety risk reduction specialists.
Elissalde joins SA2050 from Shed Bonanza in Melbourne where she was senior sales representative.
In the new role, she will advise organisations on injury prevention strategies, with a focus on reducing back strain, fatigue and musculoskeletal disorders associated with manual handling tasks.
Brown joins the company after more than three years in the United Kingdom as a sales engineer at manufacturing company KEYENCE.

She was previously a sales representative for CBIS Infosystems which produces educational computer coding equipment and was a database administrator for Athlea.
At SA2050, Brown will assist in delivering training, fitment and ongoing support to ensure safe, effective use and high adoption across operational teams.
“Marine and Charlotte both have extensive commercial experience and will bolster our team in Australia as the device gains traction with key industry clients,” SA2050 CEO Michael Schaefer said.
