‘Unparalleled look’: Trump releases book full of wild presidential revelations
Trump talks about his relationships with Putin, Zuckerberg and Queen Elizabeth in a new book published by his son.
US presidential candidate Donald Trump is releasing a pricey book reportedly including praise for Vladimir Putin, threats towards Mark Zuckerberg, and an unexpected tribute to Queen Elizabeth II.
With a price tag of $US99 ($146), Save America is set for release on September 3 (US time).
By late August, the book was reportedly the most in-demand hardcover by American retailers.
The cover features the image of the former president lifting his fist in the air after the attempt on his life in July.
Save America is promoted as “an unparalleled look” into Trump’s time in office and “a vision for his next term”.

- Trump with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un: “Chairman Kim Jong-un has an opportunity like no other – To be remembered as the leader who ushered in a glorious new era of security and prosperity for his people … We got to know each other very well in a very confined period of time.”
- Trump with Russian President Vladimir Putin: Trump repeated his claim that Putin would never have attacked Ukraine if Trump was still in power. “Vladimir is a strong man, but we had an understanding, and got along well.”
- Trump and Meta boss Mark Zuckerberg: “Mark Zuckerberg would come to the Oval Office to see me. He would bring his very nice wife to dinners, be as nice as anyone could be, while always plotting to install shameful Lock Boxes in a true plot against the president,” apparently referring to the millions Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan donated to assist local election offices during the last presidential election cycle. “We are watching him closely, and if he does anything illegal this time he will spend the rest of his life in prison – as will others who cheat in the 2024 presidential election.”
- Trump with world leaders, including then-Japanese PM Shinzo Abe (assassinated in 2022) and then-German chancellor Angela Merkel, at the G7 summit: “Japanese Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, was a great man who was loved by his people, and was one of my closest friends. Angela is no longer in charge of Germany. While people thought I didn’t get along with her, I did very much get along with her.”
- Several photographs from the aftermath of the July shooting, where Trump’s ear was allegedly clipped by a bullet: “There was blood pouring everywhere, and yet, in a certain way I felt very safe, because I had God on my side … I am not supposed to be here. I am here only by the grace of almighty God”.
- Trump with Queen Elizabeth: “They said I made the queen happy, and I said, ‘No, she made me happy’.”

Some of Trump’s claims about his relationships with significant figures may come as a surprise, given their publicly testy relationships.
Merkel was a frequent critic of Trump’s polices, as Trump was of hers, and once reportedly compared Trump to Adolf Hitler in a comment the then president mistook as praise.
Despite his claims of close friendship with the UK’s late monarch, Queen Elizabeth reportedly found Trump to be “very rude”.
During Trump’s 2018 visit to the United Kingdom, the Queen was also noted to have worn a brooch gifted to her by former US president and prominent Trump critic Barack Obama.
And while Trump wrote his meeting with Kim was “productive” and proved “real change was indeed possible”, there has been no marked improvement in North Korea’s antagonistic relationships with countries such as the United States, South Korea and Japan.
Nor have living conditions appeared to have improved within North Korea in recent years.
Save America is a product of conservative publishing house Winning Team Publishing.
Co-founded by the former president’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr, the publishing house aims to “promote authors who represent the silent majority, America First patriots, and liberty-minded readers”.
The book is the latest in a series of money-making ventures from Trump, that have also included selling NFTs with images of Trump portrayed as everything from a superhero to a cowboy.
