Weapons seized on Yorke Peninsula
Yorketown police seized over 4000 rounds of ammunition in a large cache of munitions at a property last week.

SA Police said today officers attended the Yorketown address at about 2:20pm on Thursday May 9, with the assistance of the Bomb Operations Unit.
The search, conducted under the Firearms Act, resulted in the seizure of over 4000 rounds of ammunition, a semi-automatic rifle, a crossbow, and an inert explosive.

A small amount of cannabis was also located and seized.
A local man, 50, was reported for possession of an insecure, unregistered, unlicensed C Class firearm, prohibited item, insecure ammunition, and issued with a cannabis expiation notice following the search.
