Man arrested for murder near Port Augusta
Police have arrested a man for murder after a woman was found unconscious in Davenport, near Port Augusta, overnight.

Police said they were called to an address in Davenport around 11.20pm after reports there was an unconscious woman at the home.
The 45-year-old woman was unable to be revived by police and paramedics and died at the scene.

Detectives then arrested a 53-year-old man from the address. He is expected to be charged with murder later today and will appear in the Port Augusta Magistrates Court.
Police said the man and woman were known to each other.
