Commenting on the story: Unley Oval set for six-month closure

While good for the ground, not having the drainage made the pre-AFL era SANFL July meet between Port and Sturt one of the best mudbaths of the season.

Footy in the suburbs just as God intended. After the first bounce no one on ground was clean from the mud… except of course Rick Davies who was always pristine but still booted goals. – Kym Smith

Commenting on the story: Department awards ex-child protection executive lifetime honour

Foster and kinship carers across South Australia would be surprised at this nomination and then the award being given to the previous Deputy CE.

Why would there be a need for an independent inquiry into foster and kinship care if the CE and her deputy really did ‘make inspiring efforts of an individual who dedicated 15 years or more’ to the system that is often described as toxic and dysfunctional. – Gavin McAloney

Commenting on the opinion piece: Ali Clark: Men short-changed in the office

It’s not the shorts Ali – it’s the socks!

I don’t even think that they sell the old ‘office’ knee-highs any more. But even if they do, I don’t think men want to wear them. If men can wear the dress shorts, with cut off socks – then maybe. – James Rock
