With more than 1,200 shows over 31 days and across 380 venues it can be easy to get overwhelmed, but the digital MyFringe Planner supported by BankSA can help.

Scheduling your entire Fringe experience has never been easier. Your MyFringe Planner, on the Adelaide Fringe website, allows you to browse the full program and make a wishlist of your favourite shows. You can then select performances by time and day to avoid clashes.

Once you’re happy with your plan, simply hit the button to buy tickets so you don’t miss out.

If you’re looking for new events, new activations or a returning hit show, here are our top picks to check out:

1. SILENCE ! – This epic three-day event on the opening weekend is a massive pyrotechnic, fireworks and percussion spectacle by French performance artists, Les Commandos Percu – alongside great Australian music performers, roving entertainment and a curated food and beverage precinct. It promises to be the most explosive, eye-popping spectacle this season attracting thousands of people to the centre of the city to mark the launch of the Fringe. SILENCE ! promises to be a great evening out for all ages.

2. Electric Skies – A drone show spectacular launching 500 drones over one hundred metres into the night sky. Across two unforgettable nights, see the skies over Pakapakanthi/Victoria Park light up with a multi-sensory, electrifying light show woven with First Nations language and traditional songs. Electric Skies will feature specially made music from the Electric Fields duo Zaachariaha Fielding and Michael Ross.

3. Velvet Rewired – The global smash hit discotheque circus returns! Join Marcia Hines and a dazzling array of performers for an exhilarating night of glitz, glamour, and jaw-dropping circus skills. This winning mix of disco, dance, and circus offers theatre for all ages and all tastes.

4. BankSIA – Check out this new, free-access ‘immersive garden’ inspired by our state’s landscape and native banksia. Situated in the heart of Rundle Mall, the work by Australian technology artists Skunk Control features large-scale leaves arranged as in nature to reflect sunlight by day and an optical colour spectrum by night. Brought to you by BankSA, BankSIA will be a visually stunning light display for people of all ages to enjoy.

Stay informed, daily

Of course, the best place to meet up with family and friends before you set out is in the heart of the Fringe at BankSA Fringe Corner. It is the central meeting point for Fringe meccas Gluttony and The Garden of Unearthly Delights. You can also buy tickets to every show in the Fringe program and chat to info booth staff if you need some inspiration.

With so much to choose from, managing your budget to see everything you want is an important consideration. However, you can save up to 25 per cent off tickets to a huge range of shows simply by using your BankSA card to purchase your tickets, helping you to stretch your dollar further.

Or take in a show listed as a $10 BankSA Support Act. Even if you’re not a BankSA customer, you can buy tickets to these shows for just $10 and you’ll be helping emerging artists. These tickets are limited so book soon.

BankSA is proud to be supporting the Fringe for the 18th year as Principal Partner, helping to make this iconic event more accessible and affordable for all South Australians.
